Debt Collection (DebtCollection)
Takes overdue debt from the source system and moves the collection path forward: case, aging, promise to pay, negotiated settlement and legal action. The accounting voucher remains with the source system.
- Domain
- Delinquent receivables management
- Target customers
- Credit institutions and banks with a delinquent financing portfolio
- Main capabilities
- Cases and aging, collection strategy and rules, negotiated settlement, legal action, field collection, risk forecasting and KPI reporting
Debt Collection takes overdue debts from source systems (currently Financing and manual entry) and manages the whole collection path: from case creation and debt aging, through collection strategy and rules, communication with the debtor, promise to pay, payment receipt, negotiated settlement, legal action and field collection, to risk forecasting and reporting of collection KPIs.
The debt and the accounting voucher remain with the source system. This service maintains only the collection layer and applies payments through that system's adapter, without posting any parallel accounting voucher.
The strength of this service is that it turns the collection agent's daily work from moment-to-moment decision-making into the execution of a predetermined plan. The strategy engine says what action each case needs on which day of delinquency, the rule engine reacts to events without any coding, and the collection workbench tells each agent every day which case to focus on and what to do.
Key capabilities
Case management
Case creation with automatic discovery of overdue debt from Financing, batch intake from other services, or manual entry; ten defined statuses with a controlled transition flow and a full history.
Automatic debt aging
Nightly calculation of days overdue, placing each case both in internal operational buckets and in the official Central Bank classification (current, past due, overdue, doubtful).
Collection strategy engine
Segmentation of cases by risk, amount and days overdue and automatic determination of the action at each stage, with testing of an alternative strategy on a percentage of cases before full replacement.
Business rule engine
User-defined conditions and actions, with no coding needed, for automatic reaction to events such as a status change or a broken promise.
Workflow engine
Six predefined workflows (call, SMS, negotiation, promise to pay, transfer to legal, settlement discount approval) with human, system and approval steps.
360-degree customer view
The customer's cases, financing, installments, collateral and support history on one page.
Multichannel communication with a contact guard
Sending of SMS, email and notifications while automatically observing each channel's daily and weekly cap, quiet hours, and the customer's do-not-contact restriction.
Call center
Recording of call outcomes, detection of a real conversation with the debtor, and call recording.
Promise to pay
Recording with a configurable deadline and tolerance percentage, and automatic follow-up of a broken promise with a gradual increase in the intensity of action.
Payment and refund
Recording of payments with automatic application in the source system in such a way that no installment is paid twice, together with refund management.
Negotiated settlement
A multi-level approval matrix based on amount and discount percentage, allocation of the discount among principal, profit and penalty, and tracking of the recording of the waiver in the source system so that a forgiven debt is never claimed again.
Legal action
Support for the common legal paths in Iran (civil lawsuit, enforcement through the official deeds registry, bounced cheque, promissory note and bill of exchange, criminal complaint) with document archiving.
Field collection
Visit planning, location-based check-in by the agent, and cash receipt conditional on evidence (signature or photo).
Risk forecasting
Calculation of each case's probability of payment and a suggestion of the matching action, with a structure ready to be replaced by a machine learning model in the future.
Reports and industry-standard collection KPIs
Recovery rate, collection rate, promise-kept rate, legal conversion rate, settlement rate, write-off rate, recovery after write-off, and a transition matrix between aging buckets.
Collection workbench
A prioritized case queue for each agent, with a six-step wizard that calculates the real stage of each case from data, and not from a user's choice.
Business value
Collection of delinquent receivables without a centralized tool usually stays scattered across Excel and the agent's memory. The result is uncoordinated follow-up, ignored promises to pay, and unreliable management reporting on the status of receivables. This service turns the agent's daily work from guesswork into the execution of a predetermined plan, and at the same time ensures that no call or SMS exceeds the legal cap and the permitted hours. For senior management, industry-standard KPIs provide a real and comparable view of the health of the delinquent portfolio.
What sets it apart
- A clear separation between the collection layer and the debt and accounting layer, which allows this service to work without touching the financial accounts of the source system.
- A contact guard that enforces the contact cap, quiet hours and do-not-contact restriction at the engine level, and not only in organizational procedure.
- A settlement approval matrix that tracks a waiver until it is actually recorded in the source system, so that a forgiven debt is never claimed again.
- A collection workbench that calculates the real stage of each case from data; it leaves the decision to the agent and shows the right one.
