How is Dara related to Fantap and Chavosh?

Dara, Fantap and Chavosh are the three companies of the Dara Group. Dara builds banking and Qard al-Hasan fund infrastructure, Fantap offers LendTech infrastructure and an acceptance network on a white-label basis, and Chavosh delivers government projects and enterprise digital infrastructure. All three work to the same engineering standard, and Fantap runs on Dara's Financial Core.

What do you mean by a “single Financial Core”?

Accepted Answer

In Dara, no module keeps its own balance. The deposit, wallet, card, financing and investment portfolio modules read balances from the Financial Core and post every financial effect there as a voucher. As a result, the back office, the customer app and the financial reports all show the same figure, and there is no need to reconcile subsystems against each other.

Which Islamic contracts are supported?

The Loan & Credit Product Builder covers fifteen Islamic contracts, each with a dedicated calculator. They include Murabaha, Qard al-Hasan, Ijara, Mudaraba and the credit contract used for buy now, pay later. Installment schedules are built on the Solar Hijri calendar, and repayments are allocated to penalties first, then profit, then principal.

Can processes be changed without writing code?

Step order, approvals, work-queue target roles and deadlines are all changed in the Process Designer and take effect when a new version of the process is published, with no need to redeploy the software. In-flight cases continue on their own version. If a new step needs a calculation that no module performs, that calculation has to be developed.

Does the system support multiple companies and branches?

Yes. Each company has its own chart of accounts, fiscal periods, users and access catalog, and each company's data is kept separate. Branches are defined in the Users & Companies module, and work queues can be restricted to a branch or a geographic scope.

Can Dara be installed on our own servers?

Accepted Answer

For many financial institutions, and banks in particular, on-premises deployment is mandatory. Dara's services are built as containers, which makes this possible. The deployment approach, the test and production environments and the support arrangements are agreed for each project in line with the organization's security and regulatory requirements.

Do we have to roll out all the modules at once?

Accepted Answer

No. You can start with one specific solution, such as deposits and financing, or a digital wallet. The Financial Core and the shared infrastructure (identity, access control and the API Gateway) are the foundation of every rollout, and other modules are added to the same core step by step.

How is data migrated from our current system?

Accepted Answer

Data migration is part of every project, and the migration plan is drawn up after we review your current system. The chart of accounts, counterparties, opening balances and open loan files are usually migrated, and the results are reconciled against the legacy system's reports before go-live. The same plan sets the cut-over day for the legacy system and the procedure for closing its accounts.

How long does implementation take?

It depends on the scope of the project: the number of modules, the volume and quality of the data in the legacy system, how many processes need to be modeled, and the integrations with external systems that are required. After a discovery session and a review of your requirements, we provide a concrete project schedule.

Question 14

How does Dara connect to external systems such as bank payment gateways and inquiry services?

Calls to systems outside the organization go through the External Services Hub, a defined route that can be configured and monitored. Payments made through online payment gateways and POS terminals are collected by the Payment Collection Gateway module. The integrations each organization needs are reviewed during the discovery phase.

How is user access controlled?

Tokens are issued only by the Identity module, while roles, memberships and the permission catalog are defined in the Users & Companies module. Every request passes through the API Gateway, where the token is validated and the user's verified details are added to the request. The AI assistant does not create a new level of access; it sees only the data the user can see.

Does Dara keep an audit trail of operations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Final vouchers cannot be edited, and voucher sequence numbers within each period are consecutive and non-resettable. The Process Engine keeps the history of every case, including when tasks are claimed, completed, returned and reassigned. The AI assistant's answers and actions are also recorded along with their sources.

How are customer files and documents stored?

Files and documents are kept in the Document Management module with layered encryption, and you can choose where they are stored. Other modules hold only the file ID and do not store the file itself in their own database.
