We are looking for a senior .NET engineer to develop Dara's core banking services, from the Financial Core and deposits to financing and cards. The role suits someone who knows transactional systems and cares about accounting accuracy.
Dara's services are written in .NET 10 and all follow a common layered pattern: every service has the same project structure, response contract and approach to dependency registration. In this role you will work on one of the domain modules and, together with the product team, own its design, implementation and maintenance.
A large part of the job is making sure the details that matter in financial systems are right: posting vouchers with an idempotency key, ordering steps correctly when one operation spans several services, and writing tests that cover installment and penalty calculations. On this team, even a one-rial discrepancy is traced back to its root cause.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement operations and events for domain modules in .NET services
- Write financial logic with accounting-grade precision, from posting vouchers in the Financial Core to calculating installments and penalties
- Design service-to-service communication so that a repeated request never takes effect twice
- Write automated tests for calculation logic and error paths
- Review colleagues' code and keep the module's technical documentation up to date
- Work with the product owner to turn business rules into technical designs
- Investigate and fix issues in test and production environments using centralized logs
Skills and requirements
- Several years of backend development with C# and ASP.NET Core
- Strong command of SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including table design, indexing and transactions
- Hands-on experience with layered architecture and independent services
- A sound understanding of concurrency, locking and duplicate requests in transactional systems
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Day-to-day use of Git and familiarity with code review workflows
Nice to have
- Familiarity with accounting principles, vouchers and the chart of accounts
- Experience with banking, payment or Qard al-Hasan fund systems
- Familiarity with Docker and GitLab CI
- Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ
